Caerphilly MP Wayne David has given his full support to volunteers who are working to breathe new life into the Caerphilly Workmen’s Hall.

Mr David paid a visit to the hall recently and saw the “excellent work” of the hall’s committee. The Grade II listed building has recently received a grant from ‘Awards for All’. But much more is needed to restore it to its former glory.

After his visit, Mr David said: “This is a wonderful building and credit must be given to the excellent group of volunteers who are working so hard to improve the building and increase its use.

“I have given my full support to the Hall Committee and I will do whatever I can to help to take the hall forward.”

Nice to see people volunteer for a worthy cause, more of this we need in the community.
