Two men have been arrested following a break-in at a supermarket.

Police were called at 4.08am today, Wednesday, June 13, to Tesco on Gallagher Retail Park in Caerphilly.

A spokeswoman said: “A quantity of cigarettes was stolen – some of which has since been recovered.

“Two men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and are currently in police custody – one age 19 from the Cardiff area and one age 39 from the Barry area.

“Anyone with information relating to this, or anyone who may have CCTV covering the area is asked to call 101 quoting log 39 13/06/18.”

It is the second time this year the store has been targeted following a raid back in January.
