One car lay overturned, with another forced off the road, following a smash this morning on Cromwell Road in Risca.

Gwent Police were called to the scene at 7.10am on Monday, June 2, following a two-vehicle collision near the Coleg Gwent campus.

A spokeswoman confirmed there were no life-changing or life-threatening injuries.

Road users were advised to find an alternative route between Risca and Crosskeys, before the vehicles were moved and the road reopened at 9am.
