Tributes have been paid to a “devoted fiancé and loving dad” who was killed in a car crash near Hay-on-Wye.

Simon Dodd, 53, from Trethomas, died in the three-car crash near Hay-on-Wye on Monday, September 3.

In a statement released by Dyfed Powys Police, Mr Dodd’s family said: “We are absolutely devastated by the tragic loss of Simon. He was a devoted fiancé and loving dad to his children.

“He lived life to the full and will be remembered for his larger than life personality. Simon was a huge football fan and a keen Manchester United supporter.

“The family would like to thank everyone for their kind wishes, that mean so much at this awful time and we appreciate your continued support.”

Almost £1,400 has been raised online for the family through a GoFundMe page.

Dyfed Powys Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash on the B4350 between Hay-on-Wye and Three Cocks.
