A lit sparkler was pushed through a resident’s letterbox in Newbridge, police have said.
The firework was put through the door of a property in Greenfield overnight some time between Monday, November 12, and Tuesday, November 13.
Gwent Police said no-one was injured and is appealing for people to come forward if they have any information.
A force spokesperson said: “Gwent Police is urging people to think about the dangers of using fireworks or sparklers in an irresponsible manner. These sorts of crimes are reckless and what some people think may be a bit of fun can lead to lives being put at risk with devastating consequences for the people living within the home.”
