Manic Street Preachers frontman James Dean Bradfield has announced a special charity concert to raise funds for Velindre Cancer Centre.

The one-off intimate gig will take place at the Newbridge Memo – a venue very close to James’s heart and where he worked as a barman in his younger days.

The concert takes place on Wednesday, December 12, and will mark his ten-year anniversary as a Patron of Velindre.

James said: “This is the first time I’m doing an event in the valleys for Velindre, I saw a lot of great bands on the stage at the Newbridge Memo during my time as a barman there, it’s just me and a guitar and I’m nervous and excited to be playing on what I consider to be home territory. See you there.”

Tickets are available from www.newbridgememo.co.uk priced at £17.50 + £1.50 booking.
