Ael-y-Bryn Community Centre, Rhymney

A jobs fair will be coming to Rhymney on Friday, April 5, from 10am to 1pm.

A variety of employers will be at the event, including Business Wales, Gwent Police, Transport for Wales, Careers Wales, Chwarae Teg and Remploy.

The event will be taking place at Ael-y-Bryn Community Centre and has been organised by Merthyr and Rhymney MP Gerald Jones and Assembly Member Dawn Bowden, alongside Jobcentre Plus.

The fair will provide information on job searching, interview tips and a chance to meet with prospective employers.

The event will be open to anyone looking for help and support finding employment or training opportunities.

Gerald Jones MP said: “I’m very pleased that so many important local employers and organisations will be attending the jobs fair in Rhymney this Friday.

“This is a great opportunity to get some help and support with your job search, whether you’re looking for a new role, a training opportunity or a change of direction.

“It’s great to see so many people having already registered their interest in attending.”

Dawn Bowden AM added:  “Alongside the encouraging involvement of a number of key organisations, I am delighted that I have already been contacted by constituents who are looking forward to attending, and have welcomed this initiative supporting their efforts to secure local employment.”
