Fans of HBO’s Game of Thrones will have the chance to sit on the Iron Throne as Caerphilly Comic Con returns for a third time.
Fans of the show will be able to have their photos taken on the iconic throne, which will be at St Cenydd leisure centre, Caerphilly, on Saturday, June 15.
The event will start at 10am and will run until 5pm.
There will also be 25 specialist comic and sci-fi stalls at the event.
Meanwhile, there will also be a host of people dressed up as iconic characters from box office hits such as Star Wars, Ghostbusters and Aliens, while a replica of the famous jeep from Jurassic Park will be on display.
The event will play host to Caerphilly’s second Mini Steampunk Festival, with Tea Duelling and Teapot Racing competitions.
There will also be a game workshop hosted by Caerphilly Table-Top Gamers Society.
As part of Comic Con, a number of schools across Caerphilly County Borough will hold non-uniform days, with pupils dressing up as their favourite superheroes.
Pupils are also taking part in two special Welsh-language art competitions, which will be judged by Aberbargoed-based Welsh language initiative Menter Caerffili.
Pupils taking part in the competition will be in with a chance of winning ‘golden tickets’, which will give them discounted entry to the event.
Organiser Vik Yadh is looking to raise more than £5,000 for The Autism Directory and has recently completed the Caerphilly 50K Ultra Run and the SciFi Walk up Caerphilly Mountain as part of the fundraising.
Comic Con is being sponsored by Caerphilly-based gift manufacturer Dust and Things and Blackwood’s Maxime Cinema.
