Two further arrests in connection with the death of a 13-year-old boy have been made, police have confirmed.

Teenager Carson Price died in April this year after he took a form of ecstasy known as ‘Donkey Kong’.

Police arrested a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs within a week of Carson’s death and he was later released pending further investigation.

Gwent Police have now confirmed a 20-year-old man from Pontllanfraith was also arrested on June 5 and a 21-year-old Newbridge man was arrested on April 23. Both were arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs and have been released pending further investigation.

Lewis School Pengam pupil Carson, who would have been 14 on July 25, was found unconscious at Ystrad Mynach Park on Friday, April 12 this year. Emergency services were called to the park after he was found at around 7.20pm. He later died at University Hospital Wales Cardiff.

Carson’s family have been speaking out on the dangers of drugs and have urged parents to speak with their children. The family have also been busy fundraising for bereavement charity 2 Wish Upon a Star.

Last month they raised £300 with a memorial walk up Pen-y-Fan.
