New Heath hospital bus timetable announced

The timetable for the new replacement bus service from Caerphilly to the Heath hospital has now been released. The new 86X service, which includes a stop at Thornhill Crematorium, will begin on January 12, 2020, and will provide 13 daily services in each direction between Caerphilly and the University Hopsital of Wales (UWH) during the hours of 7.10am and 19.25pm (Monday to Friday). On Saturdays, services will be run between 07.33am and 19.25pm.The direct number 26 service from Caerphilly to Cardiff is also being retained by Stagecoach 

I’m pleased to see the new timetable being confirmed after campaigning with local residents and Wayne David to reinstate services from Caerphilly to the Heath hospital. From January 12, 2020 there will be 156 overall journeys between Caerphilly and UHW added each week as a result of the changes we’ve fought for. I want to thank everybody who signed petitions and responded to the questionnaire I sent to hundreds of local residents. It’s now crucial that the service is used from 12th January.

General Election 

The People Power Index have just completed their survey into what makes a  “good” MP. The independent survey has ranked MPs from number one to 650 from the 2017–19 parliament on an MPs openness and responsiveness to their constituents.  Caerphilly’s Wayne David has been recognised as number one in this independent survey, which demonstrates his commitment to the people of the Caerphilly constituency since he became an MP in 2001. It’s no surprise that Wayne has been highest ranked of all 650 MPs due to his consistent participation in Parliamentary debates and his availability to the public. I work closely with Wayne on many issues in the constituency and I pay credit to the service he has given over the last 18 years. I sincerely hope Wayne is re-elected on Thursday, December 12.
