Castle Gate Indian restaurant and takeaway

An Indian restaurant has been recognised for its quality once again with two recent award wins.

Castle Gate, based on Castle View, Caerphilly, was named Five Star Indian Takeaway of the Year at this year’s Welsh Asian Food Awards in addition to being crowned Restaurant Takeaway of the Year in the Welsh Takeaway Awards.

Robi Khan, from Castle Gate, said: “I feel very proud that Castle Gate has been honoured with these awards. Our staff work really hard to provide an excellent service and I would like to thank all of our customers for their support.”

Irfan Younis, chief executive of award organisers Creative Oceanic said: “This industry has grown massively over the past years and we aimed to seek out, reward and thank those who have managed to make a real difference by serving fantastic food, using the best of ingredients.

“The winners are an outstanding example of excellence whose dedication to be the best has made them stand out among the rest.

“We would like to congratulate all finalists and winners for their amazing achievements.”

Last year Castle Gate was named as one of the top 20 best restaurants in the Restaurant Awards Welsh Edition – a list of the top 100 places to eat.
