There was only one new positive test case of Covid-19 in Caerphilly County Borough between July 27 and August 10, according to data from Public Health Wales.

As of August 10, a total of 745 people had tested positive for coronavirus in the borough.

A total of 12,681 tests have been carried out in borough, which has a population of around 180,000.

However, not everyone who has Covid-19 is necessarily tested. For example, people who are displaying no symptoms may have it but not put themselves forward for testing.

Public Health Wales’ most recent figures show that 13 new cases have been confirmed in Wales, with a further two reported deaths linked to the virus.

It brings the number of recorded cases in Wales to 17,476, with 1,581 deaths.
