Volunteers at the Marie Curie Caerphilly Fundraising Group will be delivering mulled wine and mince pies to residents in Caerphilly town, Bedwas and Trethomas on Friday, December 11.

Group secretary Margaret Churchill said: “This year has been such a struggle for Marie Curie to raise the funds they need.

“We are hoping to support them this Christmas and bring a little festive cheer to the local community, who are always so supportive of our fundraisers.”

Charity group named Fundraisers of the Year

Over the summer, the group raised more than £800 for Marie Curie by holding a cream tea delivery service.

The volunteers have asked residents to support the fundraiser by donating bottles of mulled wine or a box of mince pies.

They also thanked the Morrisons store in Caerphilly town centre for donating mince pies and mulled wine, as well as Bedwas-based Quickstep Fitness Gym, which will have a mince pie and mulled wine stand at the end of their socially distanced run on December 13, in support of Marie Curie.

To get a delivery to your door or workplace, call or test Mrs Churchill on 07842 259415.
