More than 100 gifts collected in Christmas appeal

More than 100 gifts have been donated through a Christmas appeal launched by a Caerphilly-based recruitment firm.

Vetro Recruitment Ltd, based on Pontygwindy Industrial Estate, launched the initiative and is working with Sparkle Appeal – a charity which aims to support children with disabilities and developmental difficulties across Gwent – to deliver gifts to younger children.

Gifts will be collected up until Sunday, December 13.

Alastair Tulloch, director at Vetro Recruitment, said: “Its been such a challenging year for everyone and we wanted to do our bit to help those that are less fortunate than ourselves.

“When we saw the amazing work that the Sparkle Appeal does for children and families, we wanted to help to make sure that this an extra special Christmas for them.

“We would like to thank everyone that has donated over the recent weeks.”

In a statement, Vetro Recruitment said: “We have already received so many gifts and we are grateful to everyone who has donated – with a huge thank you to Mayor Mike Prew and his family, and B&M Stores in Bridgend for their generous donations.”
