Two arrests made after early morning drugs raid

Two men were arrested following a drugs raid in Elliotstown, New Tredegar.

Police officers carried out the raid at a property on Jubilee Road at 6.30am on Tuesday morning (February 16).

A 48-year-old man from Elliotstown was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of class A drugs and being in possession of class B drugs.

The second man – a 47-year-old from Elliotstown – was also arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of class A drugs.

Man released under investigation after drugs raid

The two men have since been released under investigation.

A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “During the warrant, a number of items were seized by officers. These include a quantity of drugs, which will be analysed for formal identification, drug paraphernalia and mobile phones.
