Round two of the draw was made on Tuesday

The draw for round two of the FAW Amateur Trophy has been made, with five Caerphilly-based teams potentially set to feature.

The match which may pull the most spectators might be Treowen Stars v Newbridge Town. Although the pair play in different divisions, with the Stars expected to win, it will be a derby nonetheless.

There will also be two Ardal South East matchups, the first being Abercarn United on the road against the Abertillery Bluebirds.

Abercarn narrowly stayed in the division last season but are doing better this year and sit in seventh. Meanwhile the Bluebirds will be hoping to return to the Cymru South following relegation in the 23/24 season.

Risca United have had a tough start to the season, and will also face a fellow Ardal South East side in the newly promoted Newport Corinthians.

The final team who could feature in round two is Aber Valley. To reach round two – where they’d face Cardiff Draconians – they first need to beat AFC Llwydcoed this weekend in round one.
