Gerwyn Price was beaten by Michael van Gerwen as Premier League Darts returned for Night 5 in Brighton.

Price, from Markham, was beaten 6-3 at the quarter-final stage by the Dutchman, who now goes above the Iceman in the standings.

Price went into the event on Thursday March 6 in third place, but now slips to fifth.

Van Gerwen was beaten in the semi-finals by eventual champion Luke Littler, who remains in second place but cuts the gap to leader Luke Humphries to just two points.

Premier League Darts is back on Thursday March 13, with Nottingham hosting Night 6.

There, Price will open up against Stephen Bunting, who currently sits bottom of the standings. The winner of that tie will take on either Van Gerwen or this week’s beaten finalist Nathan Aspinall in the semi-finals.
