Gerwyn Price competed at the International Darts Open over the weekend, but fell in the third round.
Price went into the competition, in Riesa, Germany, having reached the final of last week’s Premier League Darts in Berlin.
The Iceman beat Belgium’s Mike De Decker 6-4 in his first match at the open, setting up a third round tie with Nathan Aspinall.
However, the Asp clinched victory in the deciding leg, and went on to reach the final.
But it was Stephen Bunting – who beat Price in the Premier League final last week – who earned victory in the final, defeating Aspinall 8-5.
Following his exit, Price said on Instagram: “Gutted to lose today but so happy to be on the way home – too much darts at the moment. Playing so well.”
Price returns to action on Wednesday April 9, when he will compete in the Players Championship 12 in Leicester.
The following day, the Premier League heads to Manchester for Night 10. There, Price will face league leader Luke Littler in the opening round.
