Gerwyn Price could not repeat his Players Championship 12 heroics on Monday night, when he crashed out of Players Championship 13 in the round of 64.
Price, from Markham, won last week’s event in Leicester, but it was a different story in Rosmalen, Netherlands on April 14.
Price brushed past Martijn Dragt 6-2 in the first round, but Germany’s Max Hopp got the better of him in the following round.
Hopp beat Price 6-4, but fell to Andrew Gilding in the third round.
Australia’s Damon Heta was the eventual champion, beating Nathan Aspinall in the final.
Later this week, Price’s busy schedule will continue with Premier League Darts Night 11, which is being held in Rotterdam, Netherlands on Thursday April 17,
There, Price will go up against Aspinall in the opening round, with the winner facing Humphries or Chris Dobey in the semi-finals.
