Wales coach Rhian Wilkinson has announced her 23-player squad for Women’s Euro 2025.

It is the first time a Welsh women’s team has reached the finals of a major international football tournament – with the Netherlands, France, and reigning champions England awaiting in the group stage.

Angharad James will captain the side in Switzerland next month, and is one of four players in the squad with more than 100 caps, alongside Jess Fishlock, Hayley Ladd, and Sophie Ingle – who makes the squad after recovering from an ACL injury.

Wales secured a historic qualification last December after beating Republic of Ireland over two legs in the play-offs.

The competition will be held between July 2 and July 27.

Wales’ first game will be against the Dutch in Luzern on Saturday July 5, before taking on Les Bleues in St Gallen on Wednesday July 9.

The final group game, which will also be played in St Gallen, will be against Sarina Wiegman’s Lionesses on Sunday July 13.
