Gerwyn Price’s darts World Matchplay campaign was brought to an end at the quarter-final stage following a defeat to Josh Rock.
Price, from Markham, was beaten 16-11 by the Northern Irishman on Friday evening, meaning his wait for a first-ever Phil Taylor Trophy must go on.
However, Price’s efforts in the competition have seen him climb up the PDC Order of Merit, where he is now ranked sixth in the world.
The tournament was eventually won by Luke Littler, who defeated James Wade 18-13 in the final on Sunday July 27.
