Caerphilly-born Sam Bryant

The Cardiff Canucks have announced the signing of 27-year-old Caerphilly-born Sam Bryant, described as a dynamic forward bringing speed, strength, and experience to the squad.

Bryant, who developed his game at Vindico Arena through Cardiff’s junior and NIHL ranks, returns home after stints with the Bristol Pitbulls at both NIHL2 and National Division level.

Head coach Trevor Hendrikx said: “Sam is a high-energy player who plays with his heart on his sleeve. The fans will love him and his style of play. His energy is contagious and we’re excited to have him in the line-up.”

Bryant’s signing adds further depth to an exciting Canucks team that already includes three talented players from Caerphilly — Harvey Rose, Jaydon Ford, and Viktor Langseth — all re-signing after standout performances in the club’s debut season.

  • Ford, only 16, earned Supporters’ Player of the Year and returns as a vital piece of the Canucks’ future.
  • Rose, a reliable 17-year-old defenseman, has impressed with his development and attitude.
  • Langseth, a Swedish-born defender and assistant captain, brings composure and leadership to the ice.

All home games at Cardiff’s Vindico Arena are free for fans to attend.
