Premier League Darts is in Cardiff for Night 5, with Markham’s Gerwyn Price playing in front of a home crowd at the Utilita Arena.

Price takes on Night 4 winner Stephen Bunting in the opening round on Thursday March 5 – with either Luke Littler or Josh Rock awaiting the winner.

Compatriot Jonny Clayton is on the other side of the draw, meaning he and Price could potentially meet in an all-Welsh final in the capital.

Price goes into the night fourth in the standings, having clinched victory on Night 2 in Antwerp – while Clayton currently leads the way at the top.

Speaking about the prospect of playing in Cardiff, Clayton, who is world number five, said: “I’ve waited three years to do this! I’m really excited.

“The Welsh crowd are second to none. You can ask Gezzy [Gerwyn Price] the same question, there’s no better place, it is fantastic. The atmosphere is going to be special.

“I want to play against Gezzy in that final. It would be a great night if we could have the two Welsh boys in the final.

“It’ll be a dream if I could hit a nine-darter in front of my home crowd like Josh [Rock] did last week. That was fantastic, and hopefully I can do the same [tonight].”

Price wins his first PDC ranking title of the year
