A Coleg Gwent lecturer has been selected to play netball for Wales in the Cook Islands.

Steph Williams, a lecturer at Coleg Gwent’s Crosskeys Campus and part time PE teacher at Blackwood Comprehensive School, was selected for the Tri Series Tournament between the Cook Islands, Scotland and Wales.

Speaking before heading out to the South Pacific to achieve her 35th Welsh netball international cap, Steph said: “It’s an honour to be chosen to represent Wales and I am looking forward to the Tri Series Tournament in Paradise.”

The tournament, which started last week, will be taking place until October 22.
