Bedwas overcame a 17 point deficit to gain a valuable 25-20 victory against Swansea in the Principality Premiership on March 29.
Bottom of the table Swansea started strongly and took the lead after five minutes with a penalty try from a retreating Bedwas scrum and Cameron Clement added the conversion.
They doubled their lead on nine minutes when left wing Richard Williams ran in a good try from deep.
Clement’s conversion and a subsequent penalty put his side 17 points ahead.
Bedwas fought hard to reduce the deficit but unforced errors saw try scoring opportunities wasted.
Four minutes before the break, Swansea back rower Chris James was sin-binned for a ruck offence and a minute later Bedwas were back in the game as hooker Rhys Hutcherson barged his way over the line and Richard Powell converted.
Powell added a penalty a minute into the second-half but Clement added to the Swansea lead with a penalty of his own and came close with a monster kick of 60 metres which fell just short as Swansea tried to put the game to bed.
But Bedwas were in no mood to give up and their pressure led to Lewis Hudd scoring an unconverted try out wide.
A raft of replacements gave Bedwas fresh impetus and after missing one penalty attempt, Powell found his range to close the gap to two points going into the last ten minutes of the game.
Five minutes from time, Bedwas took the lead for the first time as prop forward Joe Mills burrowed his way over for his first try in for Bedwas.
Powell added the extras to claim a five point win for Bedwas, their 11th in the league this season, leaving them sixth in the table.
Bedwas host Neath on April 5 at 2.30pm at the Bridge Field and have Bridgend at home and Cardiff away before the end of the season.
