Nelson Cavaliers progressed to the final of the Bernard Martin Cup with a penalty shoot-out win over Cefn Hengoed on Saturday April 12.
The game finished 2-2 after 90 minutes with goals from Dan Lewis and Dan Sudale for Nelson away from home.
Thirty minutes of extra-time could not separate the sides, so it went to a penalty shoot-out that ended 4-4 after the best of five.
In sudden death, Nelson keeper Matt Farr pulled off two saves in a row to heroically put Nelson into the final.
The team now face Dynamo Aber at Llanbradach Park on May 3.
A mid-week Taff, Ely and Rhymney Valley Premier Division game on April 10 saw Nelson Cavaliers beat Tiryberth 4-1.
Two goals from Dan Sudale, and one each from Ryan Donovan and Lewis Roberts gave the Cavaliers a gritty but comfortable win.
Nelson lie sixth in the table and face Brithdir Bluebirds FC on Saturday April 19 in a bid to close the gap on AFC Caerphilly who are five points above them.
