Four Bedwas RFC players have arrived in New Zealand for the Junior World Championship as part of the Wales Under 20s squad.

Elliot Dee, James Benjamin, Joe Davies and Luc Jones are all looking to play a part in Byron Hayward’s team.

All four have performed well for Bedwas this season and helped secure a mid-table finish.

Bedwas Head Coach Steve Law said: “This is a huge opportunity for the guys to showcase their talent on the world stage, and I have no doubt that they will excel on the field of play.

“These are exceptional young men and on behalf of myself and everyone here at Bedwas RFC. I wish them the very best in what I’m sure will be a successful tournament.”

Wales face Ireland, France and Fiji in Group B of the championships that begin on June 2.
