Football: Nelson Cavaliers 2nds 1 Pontypridd Town 4

Nelson were looking forward to this TERV match, helf on December 20, having not played for a number of weeks.

The home side started well with some lovely football played and chances created. Bleddyn and Jake came closest to scoring and Callum started bright making some good runs.

Then following a set piece Ponty took the lead against the run of play.

Nelson responded and made more chances with everything that was good being created by Bishey and Keenan.
Half-time: 0-1.

Second-half underway and the match pattern continued with Nelson having chances but not converting.

Pontypridd however were not wasting their chances and extended their lead.

Nelson then pulled one back, scored by substitute Joe Brain, with a thunderbolt 20 yard shot that the Ponty keeper failed to get near.

As Nelson pushed to get the game back they found themselves vulnerable to the break and Ponty scored two more to bring the final score to 4-1.
