Bedwas scored six tries to beat Newport 42-14 in a feisty game at Rodney Parade in the Principality Premiership on February 28.

Newport responded through a good try from scrum half Owen Davies who found his way through a gap in the Bedwas defence.Geraint O’Driscoll added the conversion.
Bedwas went down to 14 men after 34 minutes when prop Matthew Pettit was yellow-carded for an off the ball punch.
The away side did not let it affect them and responded immediately, as Rory Budina crossed for an unconverted try in the right hand corner.
A lovely break by Crane set up Budina for his second try after 55 minutes with Powell adding the extras.
But the afternoon ended sorely for Budina, who suffered a torn bicep that will see him sidelined for the rest of the season.
Two Arron Pinches tries after 60 and 65 minutes earned Bedwas a bonus point.
Newport found a way through for a second try after 76 minutes from former Bedwas number eight Sam Feehan.
The game ended with Newport again down to fourteen men as replacement scrum half Andrew Quick saw yellow for a punch.
