Nelson Cavaliers ran out 3-0 winners in a scrappy match played on a difficult surface against AFC Caerphilly in the Taff Ely and Rhymney Valley Premier League on March 7.
The first half was goalless with Nelson having most of the possession and territorial advantage, although both teams had a couple of chances which all came and went.
Nelson had a dream start to the second-half when, with just a minute gone, Ben Banks raced through to calmly slot past the home keeper.
This settled the Cavs and they doubled their lead ten minutes later when a through ball was met by Dan Sudale who calmly slotted home.
The third came when another through ball saw Lewis Roberts race clear, he rounded the keeper and fired home to make the points safe.
