Members of Union Cycliste Ystrad Mynach Cycling Club (UCY) will be racing the 140km route of Velothon Wales on the June 14.
The event will see 15,000 riders take in some of Wales’ most breathtaking scenery and pass through UCY’s home-town before taking on Caerphilly Mountain towards the end of the ride into Cardiff.
UCY is one of south Wales’ fastest growing clubs, boasting a 25% rise in membership over the winter and a ladies’ group.
