Valley Cougars celebrate last season’s Conference South title win

Valley Cougars will face Nottingham Outlaws in the Conference League South Final in a bid to hold onto their title, after beating Coventry Bears on September 12.

The Cougars beat the Bears 24-0 in the semi-final, while Outlaws overcame West Wales’ The Raiders 38-8 in the other play-off.

The final sets up what should be a fierce match with Cougars finishing top of the league and Outlaws a point behind them.

The Cougars have lost twice to the Outlaws this season, cruelly at home last month, knocking them off top spot.

But they retained their place at the top of the league in their final game on September 5, beating Coventry Bears Reserves 72-20.

Cougars won the title last year with a 19-10 victory over Sheffield Hallam Eagles in the final.

They face Nottingham Outlaws at Treharris RFC on Saturday September 19 at 3pm.
