RALLY: Jonathan Brace will be aiming to kick-start his 2016 campaign with a strong class result at the Red Kite Stages on Sunday, February 21 at the season-opening round of the 2016 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship.

The event, which is based in Llandovery, will see competitors battle against the clock over a total of 45 competitive miles.

Prepared by Dave Jenkins Motorsport, Brace will once again compete in this campaign driving a Braces Bakery-backed Ford Escort RS1800.

Co-driven by Tim Samuel, from New Tredegar, the pair will head into the event off the back of a successful pre-event test held earlier in February.

Brace said: “It was great to be back behind the wheel after the winter break. The slippery conditions at the pre-event test were a perfect opportunity to gain valuable mileage ahead of the Red Kite Stages.”

Demand for what has proved to be an extremely popular event on the British rallying calendar in recent years has once again been high, with over 100 entries received to date and is set to be a thrilling spectacle.
