The MP for Islwyn, Chris Evans, has called on his constituents to support their local sports teams after receiving his club tie and presenting a donation to Cross Keys Rugby Club.
Mr Evans was presented with a black and silver club tie as thanks for his support during his time in the role.
Mr Evans said: “Cross Keys RFC are a true valleys rugby success story. I am delighted and very grateful to have been presented with a club tie.
“Every rugby club needs home supporters and I call on my constituents to attend and cheer on their local teams at matches.
“Clubs like Crosskeys show that true grassroots rugby is still alive and kicking.
“Welsh rugby has a legendary tradition, and it all starts with local clubs.”
