Five young gymnasts from the Crumlin based Valleys Gymnastics Academy have been selected for the Welsh National Development Squad for gymnasts aged nine and under.
Darcey Simmons, Maddison Harford, Elsie Sergeant and Charlotte Spinetti all attended trials with the national coaching team, and have been selected to join the Welsh squads for regular training sessions.
Nine-year-old Amy Oliver, also from Valleys Gymnastics Academy, is part of the Welsh Elite Academy structure and British Performance Pathway Squad based upon her success to date, and trains with the national squad on a weekly basis.
Amy has also been selected for her first international training camp, which will take place in Portugal this summer.
