Caerphilly Runners has been recognised for its work by Welsh Athletics.
The club, which was established in January last year, has been named development club of the year.
Chris Moss, Development Manager at Welsh Athletics, praised the club for its efforts in getting people into the sport.
He said: “Caerphilly Runners is doing great work and the award recognises this. The club is getting great membership growth year-on-year.
“Caerphilly at the moment is a bit of a hot spot for running with lots of groups springing up in the area.”
The club will be presented with its award at a ceremony at Cardiff’s Hilton Hotel on October 8.
