Gymnasts from Valleys Gymnastics Academy in Crumlin impressed during the Quatro Cup competition in Liverpool over the weekend.
On the weekend of February 25, the girls, who train at the Academy on the Croespenmaen Industrial Estate, Crumlin, competed in Liverpool with good results.
Darcey Simmons finished in fifth place overall, and won gold on bars at grade five; Madison Harford was overall champion at Compulsory Level Three; Hayley Walker finished eighth in Compulsory Level Four and won gold on the vault; and Charlotte Spinetti and Elsie Sargeant placed joint third at grade six and shared gold on floor, vault and beam.
