UNDEFEATED: Fleur-de-Lys under-13s celebrate winning every match of their Islwyn Junior League season

Saturday April 8 was a day that will live long in the memory of the Fleur-de-Lys under-13 football team as they completed their season having won every match.

Not many teams at any level of sport go through a league season unbeaten, let alone without dropping points.

The team’s achievements reflect the dedication of players, coaches, and parents that have followed them up and down the valleys and to training in every weather condition.

The Flowers finished the Islwyn Junior League as champions, with a record of 22 games played, 22 won, 204 goals scored, 16 conceded.

They now have a cup final to look forward to, and a tour to Belgium at the end of April.
