St Martins ward councillor, Steve Kent, has qualified for the final of the American Golf UK Long Drive Championship.
Cllr Kent hit a drive of 355 yards in the Over-45 category regional qualifier to leave himself just one step away from reclaiming the national title he won in 2015 and a spot at the World Championships in Oklahoma.
He said: “I’ll be doing all I can to bring home the title and make sure there’s a Welshman at the World Championships.”
