Aber Valley FC secured their second win of the season in the South Wales Alliance Division 1 with a 3-0 win over Trebanog on Wednesday, August 30.

Fresh from a 6-0 victory the previous weekend, Aber went into the match looking to record consecutive wins in the league against newly-promoted Trebanog.

The away side started slightly better but after 15 minutes, Aber Valley took the lead after great work by Joel Lewis left Jacob James with a tap in for 1-0.

James then in turn superbly set up Tom Mantle for a header which made it 2-0 soon after, and Aber were creating chances but not taking them.

The home side also had a big penalty appeal turned away, before the pressure told and Joseph Owen to headed home and give the Aber a 3-0 half-time lead.

The second half kicked off, the away team shuffled things about a bit and had a little more of the ball, but with the defensive shape of Aber they were restricted to long range efforts.

Aber could have increased the lead with a few openings but will be very happy with the 3-0 win against a strong team.
