Pontllanfraith super-middleweight Kody Davies extended his record to six wins from six fights at Ice Wales Arena in Cardiff on Saturday, August 3.

Davies beat Wiltshire’s Anthony Fox by unanimous decision over six rounds, the first time the unbeaten prospect has fought over the distance.

The 24-year-old took the fight at just three weeks notice, and Fox came to the Welsh capital with four wins from his last five bouts.

Despite taking Davies the full distance, Fox never managed to trouble the Newbridge-based fighter who fought at heavyweight as an amateur and represented Wales at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Referee Martin Williams scored the six round contest 60-56, with Davies winning four rounds and the fighters even in two.

Davies fights again next month as he heads to Cardiff’s Vale Sports Arena on Friday, September 7. His opponent has not yet been named.
