“Awesome” community response saves food bank from temporary closure

Rhymney Valley Foodbank was saved from temporary closure thanks to an “awesome” community response from locals and organisations.

Seventy-six homes are set to be built on a greenfield site in Aberbargoed after planning permission was granted.

Proposals to build 76 homes in Aberbargoed are set to be discussed by Caerphilly County Borough Council’s planning committee next week.

A total of £37,269 in grants has been awarded to organisations in Aberbargoed and Bargoed from the Community Empowerment Fund.
