Bargoed run riot in win over Maesteg Harlequins

The Bulls scored eight tries to send a warning to the rest of the league.

Bargoed were beaten at the Talbot Athletic Ground in Port Talbot on Saturday, September 14.

Bargoed began life in the WRU Championship with a 20-20 draw away to Cardiff Met on Saturday, September 7.

Bargoed will get their season underway with an away trip to Cardiff Met at 2.30pm on Saturday, while Bedwas host Cross Keys on Sunday.

The game, which will see a Caerphilly Select XV take on Benny’s Baa Baas XV, will kick-off at 1pm on Sunday, August 4 at Virginia Park.

The Keys’ pre-season preparations will be wrapped up with a home friendly against Penallta on Thursday, August 22.

The Bulls scored four tries to earn a bonus point as they welcomed Cardiff to Bargoed Park.

With relegation already confirmed, the Bulls were playing for pride as they welcomed the fourth-placed side to Bargoed Park.

Relegated Bargoed were beaten 29-0 by Bridgend at home in the Principality Premiership on Saturday, April 27.

The Bulls travelled to face the league leaders in a game that was televised live on S4C.
