Former captain of Bargoed RFC is new WRU chairman

Former Bargoed RFC captain Rob Butcher has been named the new chairman of the Welsh Rugby Union.

The WRU has lifted its suspension of all rugby training in Caerphilly County Borough.

Penallta RFC has objected to plans to expand Trinity Fields School – which would see the loss of a playing field.

Richie Donovan, who played 412 games for Cross Keys RFC, passed away aged 63.
