An expert in catastrophic injury has become a business owner at JCP Solicitors, which has an office in Caerphilly.

Mei Li of JCP Solicitors

Mei Li specialises in acting for children and adults who have suffered a traumatic brain injury. Recognised as one of the Next Generation Partners in the region by the Legal 500, Mei secures multi-million pound settlements for brain injury clients who have suffered catastrophic accidents, including birth injury and cerebral palsy.

Keith Thomas, JCP Director and Head of Injury Services, said: “Mei brings much experience in this very complex and emotive area of law, where we are dealing with families who need great amounts of support and guidance, as well as a legal professional who is assiduous and focused on getting the best possible outcome.”

A Senior Litigator and Member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), a Member of the Headway Accreditation Panel and the Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel, Mei is also secretary of the South West Wales Brain Injury Group, which aims to educate and increase knowledge about brain injury locally.

Mei works closely with specialist brain injury therapists and is passionate about ensuring her clients have access to rehabilitation as soon as possible, in order to maximise their recovery. Mei works hard to develop strong relationships with her clients, since she can be a part of the client’s life for a number of years, supporting them through litigation and the rehabilitation journey.
