The Big Cheese Festival in Caerphilly town centre

Caerphilly Little Cheese Festival will take place in Caerphilly town centre this weekend, with a number of music areas throughout Cardiff Road and Castle Court Shopping Centre, as well as a central stage in Twyn Car Park.

The event will be host to local and headline musicians along with numerous food and drink stalls. There will also be music workshops, craft sessions and small funfair rides for the children.

It will get underway from 9am on Saturday, September 3 and run until 5pm on Sunday, September 4.

Caerphilly Little Cheese is this year’s alternative to Caerphilly Big Cheese Festival, with development works taking place in Caerphilly Castle preventing the event taking place in its usual format.

Councillor Jamie Pritchard, the council’s Cabinet Member for Prosperity, Regeneration and Climate Change said: “[Alongside Blackwood Beach Party] we are thrilled to welcome back two of our most attended events, that have been very much missed since pre-Covid.

“From events like these, to top tourist attractions and fine dining options, Caerphilly County Borough has so much to offer for residents and visitors alike this summer.”

More information on the event can be found on Visit Caerphilly‘s website.
