With this season’s Premier League well underway, Crystal Palace has been showing off its new look on the pitch.

European sportswear manufacturer Macron agreed a prestigious long-term partnership to produce Crystal Palace’s new kits with legal assistance for the deal provided by JCP Solicitors.

The deal, advised by JCP’s expert Sports Law team, sees the Italian sportswear giant return as the Premier League club’s official technical kit partner from this season onwards.

As part of this, Macron will supply all the team’s match day kits, training and travel wear, along with accessories, which will now incorporate the club’s new crest featuring the date it was established in 1861.

JCP, which has an office in Caerphilly, has advised Macron on a number of matters over the last decade, including its recent sponsorship deals with both the Welsh Rugby Union and World Rugby.

Andrew Meech, a Director in the Sports Law team at JCP Solicitors, said the firm was delighted to be continuing its successful relationship with the manufacturer: “This is a significant deal for Macron, which once again sets it apart as a leader across the sportswear industry.

“The deal underlines the Italian manufacturer’s reputation for quality and service, which they have demonstrated for over 50 years. We are delighted to have worked with them on this important deal, which not only expands but sees the return of a Premier League club to Macron’s already impressive portfolio of sponsored clubs.

“Sports Law is a valuable and growing area of business for JCP, involving a high level of knowledge from our team in this fast-evolving area of the law. We are proud of the strong relationship we have with Macron, which has given us an excellent understanding of its business, ethos and objectives, which in turn has enabled us to work with them seamlessly to support them in delivering another significant agreement.”

Macron has an established reputation as one of the leading sportswear brands in the market, supplying apparel to over 50 professional clubs in 57 countries worldwide.

On the deal, Macron Senior Sports Marketing Manager Ross Cook, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Crystal Palace Football Club to provide unique and exclusive kit collections for their top athletes and an apparel range for their devoted fans.

“This partnership reinforces our successful relationship with the Premier League club and we very much look forward to working with them going forwards.

“We’d also like to thank Andrew and the team at JCP Solicitors who once again have assisted us to achieve this fantastic deal, and whose expertise and knowledge in this field ensured that the process was incredibly smooth.”

The Sports Law team at JCP has been ranked at the top by leading industry bibles, the Legal 500 and Chambers.  JCP Solicitors has eight offices across South and West Wales. Davids.
