A Caerphilly-based ecology firm has been recognised at a national awards ceremony.

Wildwood Ecology was named ‘medium consultancy of the year’ at the CIEEM Awards, held at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens on June 28.

The company aims to support and promote sustainable development and protect the natural environment, boost biodiversity and address the climate emergency.

The CIEEM is a national body representing and supporting ecologists and environmental managers across the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Wildwood Ecology managing director, Richard Dodd, said: “I am immensely proud to receive this award and humbled to work alongside such a talented and dedicated team, who demonstrably share my vision.

“As a certified B Corp we believe that all business can and should be a force for good, and we have ambitious targets to reduce Scope 1-3 emissions and make a positive impact in resolving global issues, including biodiversity loss and climate change.”
