Caerphilly singer-songwriter Huw Webb and his band Stellar Echoes have released their debut album – with the group set to perform at HMV in Cardiff on Saturday August 19.

The four band members, all from the Caerphilly area, have been working together for two years according to Huw, who told Caerphilly Observer how lockdown helped him “take the leap” and put an album together.

He said: “I’ve written music for years but really put my head down during the pandemic. I was only going to write a couple songs but ended up writing 11.

“The album launched last Friday and we’ll be performing a few songs at HMV on Queen Street this Saturday at 2pm. We can’t wait.”

Huw, who describes the band’s music as “alternative/indie”, said the band members have played all across the valleys since they began performing live in February this year.

“I love the process of creating music”, said Huw. “I’ve always seen myself doing this and to now be in the position to do so is amazing.

“We’re excited to see what the future holds with more music to come”, he added.

Stellar Echoes’ new album, Now Is All There Is, can be bought online or streamed via most music platforms.
