A dispersal order covering parts of Cefn Fforest has been introduced in a bid to curb antisocial behaviour.
The 48-hour order, introduced by Gwent Police, came into force at 6pm on Sunday October 8.
It will be in place until 6pm on Tuesday October 10.
Police will have the power to stop people from entering these areas between this time if they believe they have engaged or will engage in antisocial behaviour.
If they return to those areas after being moved on, they face being arrested.
Inspector Gareth Thomas, of Gwent Police, said antisocial behaviour “won’t be tolerated in Gwent” – and urged residents to speak to officers on patrol if they have concerns.
He added: “Alternatively, you can report your concerns by calling 101, or by sending us a direct message via Facebook or Twitter.”

However, the order’s introduction has drawn criticism from independent councillor Kevin Etheridge, who represents the neighbouring Blackwood ward.
Cllr Etheridge said: “A number of these streets fall into the Blackwood ward.
“Blackwood county councillors and the town mayor had a meeting with the police and community safety partners and we were not even informed about this. So much for partnership working.”
